SM-N920A 7.0 Root Method Tested

They are requirements for SM-N920A Root, in order to have a successful result, you must be ready to follow the procedures outlined here, no easy way out!!

*Rooting SM-N920A is strictly dependent on the binary version of your phone’s operating system.

*They are different procedures to gaining  root, but they are all dependent on os version.

Things to look out for, before you begin the journey of root on SM-N920A.

1. What binary version the supposed device you are about to root has.

2.What os version your device comes with.

Note that we have different binary versions of Samsung galaxy Note 5 AT&T variants:

i. SM-N920A Binary 2

ii. SM-N920A Binary 3

iii. SM-N920A Binary 4

SM-N920A Binary 5

Success points:

• Binary ,2,3 &4 with os 5.11, 6.01 and 7.0 have been known to have gained root through various tricks, but today, this tutorial is going to be strictly on binary 4, with android version 7.0

My Procedure:

First, Download and flash this COMBINATION_FA51_N920AUCU4APL1

How To Flash:

• Boot to download mode by holding Volume Down+Home+Power, then press volume up to continue.
• Execute Odin3_v3.12.5(Recommended for best result) Choose AP, go to where you saved your combination file and select, wait for Odin to finish loading the file.
• Once Odin finishes loading the file, proceed to the OPTIONS in Odin interface, add ‘Nand Erase’ and ‘Re-partition’ to the checked list, making it 4 options on the checked list.
• So the overall checked list becomes; 1.(Auto Reboot) 2.(Nand Erase) 3.(Re-partition) 4.(F, Reset Time) See Screenshot below:

• Once you’re sure all options are checked accordingly, press Start and give it a while for odin to load the factory file on the phone.

• Next step is to proceed to http://mobilego.wondershare.com to download wondershare mobileGo pc version.

• Enable USB DEBUGGING, OEM UNLOCK and connect phone to Pc .
• Click on OneClick Root, wait a while till you receive a success message that root is successful!!
• Check your phone for superuser confirmation. See my screenshot below
